AV Product Specialist 

The Product Specialist role with our client is to ensure the performance and growth of key vendors against agreed targets through Sales, Vendor and customer focus.  The role requires excellent customer development skills and an ability to motivate others.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
High Performing Activities: 
 
  • Drive GP against agreed targets for the business unit
  • Execute and measure activity for the business unit in order to maximise profit opportunity
  • Daily contact with Top 20 core accounts
  • Regular contact with Vendor sales teams at all levels – End user; Reseller and Distribution to leverage opportunity.
  • Expert knowledge within field to enable good flow of information
     
Organisational Activities
  • Daily update to sales on all promotional/ price/ product activity including price lists
  • Feedback to sales reps on activity/ opportunities
  • Knowledge of key technologies and products for respective Business Unit
  • Management & development of key vendor relationships
  • Assist in  planning & execution of vendor call out days – agree with sales management
  • Implement training for new and existing sales reps
  • Monthly Business Unit Review to sales – deliver review of previous month performance and highlight areas of opportunity for coming month. 
  • Plan and co-ordinate sales floor diary with sales management
  • Support external account managers
  • Understand and help deliver Business Unit KPI’s
  • Understand the market size, shares and growth opportunities within the Business Unit
  • Ensure a smooth running of day to day activities on behalf of your business unit – fielding calls, allocation of stock, special bids etc.
     
Ideal experience:

  • Minimum 2 years successful sales experience within the ICT sales channel

Education:
 
  • Highly numerate / literate
  • IT Skills consisting of Microsoft Word & Excel
  • General Secondary Education and ideally university degree
