The Role: Reporting to the Director of Retail this role will be UK based looking after major High Street, Grocery and PFS Retailers. This is a new role, due to very exciting times and growth across their European business. A global leader in providing prepaid and stored value products, services and technology solutions to major retailers. With a portfolio of products and retail partners from a wide cross sector the role will be exciting and varied.
Key Responsibilities:
You’ll have the key role of establishing category values to retailers and across our company. This will include identifying your category’s key drivers and using them to deliver growth. You must also devise an innovative category plan, which will increase opportunities and sales, as well as instigate an insightful review process. What’s more, you’ll develop effective POS mechanisms to ensure category space is maximised and make sure all category and marketing events are performed within budget.
As you might expect, essential to your success is a proven track record in account management. This will be coupled with strong commercial and financial experience and, ideally, some team and account management experience in an FMCG environment. Highly motivated in your approach, you’ll be well organised and consistently able to achieve outstanding results
Required Skills:
• Ability to develop business and sell to major retail clients
• Knowledge of FMCG
• Highly proficient presentation skills
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint & Excel)
• Confident communicator with excellent negotiation skills and able to interact any level
• Sociable and gregarious but able to prioritize and work on own initiative when required
• Would be a distinct advantage, but not essential, to have knowledge of Gift Card, prepaid financial services, prepaid telecoms, transaction processing or card manufacturing industries
• Knowledge of the European retail landscape and contacts within key retail organizations would also be an advantage
