Our client is a billion pound organisation and by far the largest IT distributor in the UK. The are currently looking for an experienced and talented Sales Manager to join their highly successful organisation. The successful candidate will come from an IT Sales background and have experience of managing/developing a team (5-20 people). The purpose of this role will be to drive a Sales Team to produce according to accountabilities set out below.

Key objectives to achieve team revenue and profit targets whilst providing an outstanding service to the clients customers, by establishing and maintaining high standards of sales and service, through motivational and proactive team building and performance management.

Set out below are the Key Responsibilities, this is not an exhaustive list, and within reason, additional task or duties may be requested still within the overall scope of the role.  The development of people in the team, to ensure that the highest quality conversations are taking place between our client and its customers.
To ensure the most effective organisation of the team and it's use of tools to maximise customer satisfaction.
Provide team with quality objective and target setting combined with quality review and feedback of these.
The creation of a motivational climate within the team likely to be through regular side by side coaching, regular team meetings and training activity. Ensure our client maintains service levels with accounts SLA's, including Sales, Order Processing, Report Production & Distribution, Customer Service, Returns, and Queries.
To coordinate and manage the use of field sales and internal sales people to deliver optimum return on investment. Performance/competency development plans to help under performing individuals attain the required standards. To manage and provide support for new starters through probationary period and Academy modules and to complete all evaluations within timescale. To "back-fill" for field based salespeople as dictated by holiday - illness - or opportunity. To support the sales training manager in the delivery of sales training.
Work with ISE's to prepare and review of account action plans to protect current business whilst looking for growth opportunities. Develop an excellent customer relationship through the provision of an outstanding quality service.
Attend both internal and external trading meetings with accounts, to improve business understanding, and account development. Work proactively with vendors and FBU to realise incremental business opportunities.
Influence our client to ensure best service and support for your customer base (including, Sales Ops, Finance and Credit, Customer Service, FBU and warehouse). Provide a weekly forecast to Sales Director for account set.
Drive the review of customer price and freight banding, on an ongoing basis, through your team.
